Yellows are the sunniest,
happiest and most childlike personalities in the color-spectrum. "All I
want to do is have some fun!" is a song which is a wonderful
representation of Yellows and shows their easy going, light and sunny
character. These playful people have a wonderful sense of humor. They
love to laugh and intimately enjoy life from many different angles.
They advocate relaxation, the pure joy of life and live spontaneously.
They are always reminding other people to not take life too seriously
and to always look on the bright side. Life and work should both be
enjoyed.

A Yellow's primary motivations are enjoyment, entertainment and
creativity. They measure life by how happy and content they are and how
good they feel. "Life is like a box of chocolates, it is sweet and a
lot of fun." Yellows are intelligent, bright and radiant personalities.
They learn easily and receive information without asking about the
deeper connections or reasons behind it. They love to work with their
minds and equally love to play and occupy themselves with philosophies,
mental ideas and concepts. They also enjoy discussing all aspects of
life, from politics to spirituality. Yellows can be spontaneous and
overflowing with artistic and creative ideas. However, their focus is
much more on enjoying than it is on creating. They have an abundance of
energy, which is easily recognized by their physical activeness. It is
difficult for them to sit still for a long period of time. However,
when this occurs, they have a constant need to be moving their hands.

In harmony Yellows are very creative. They love to work with their
hands and enjoy doing such things as writing, painting, repairing
things or sculpting. They know how to enjoy mental-creative and
physical reality with all its variations. In balance Yellows are happy
and content personalities. They inherently know how to accept whatever
is happening in their lives. Yellows are the most child-like
personalities in the color spectrum and they never want to grow up. As
a result they generally look younger then they actually are. They love
to travel, to see the world, to relax on a wonderful beach and have fun
dancing all night long. You will immediately recognize if a Yellow is
happy, sad or feels uneasy, because they emit unusually strong body
language. A Yellow body never lies. It always shows the truth. They are
sensitive and intuitive through their physical bodies and also through
their touch. Therefore, Yellows are often found in occupations such as
healing or massage. They love to be around people and they enjoy
helping people. They have healing hands and a healing, light attitude
towards life. All these qualities make Yellows excellent healers or
therapists.

Yo...
Which one of ya'll went to the inauguration?!?!?!?
I didn't go see it live..damn..but...ok...check it
I went to the gym to do my run and watch it. I conveniently got on a treadmill next to this fine ass women I would always see at the gym right. I started with a walk at a speed of about 3 mph. Boom Aretha came on. I payed my respects "my country tis of thee". Sing it Aretha!!!
She took the 's' off of "land where my fathers died" and everything. At this point I sped my run up to 4.5. Oh yeah before that, all of the elite came out and that was where I sped up at. What a special thing this was. As I am jogging I began to wonder if i would see my sister gemeem or my mother. I kid you not 2 minutes later I see her in the crowd. I tapped the girl on the other treadmill and said "Holy shit!! Thats my moms!". While I was watching this i was doing a run to increase speed which means speeding up every quarter mile then going back to neutral. When president Obama was being sworn in I sped my pace to 7.5 miles per hour which is fast for me right now. Don't you know I ran that speed for about 2 miles. I was so inspired and things really started to set in. Part of me feels like there is some sort of trick going on. Maybe that is just the residual of past disappointments. This time around people really stepped up to the plate and got involved in govt.
Remember in in one of my first blogs I put we are stepping into the renaissance period. It is here!!!!

Today I saw Notorious!! I love Biggie all over again. I was totally inspired by his story. He became a man at the end before his life was cut short. I wonder what he would be saying right now man. The music industry is in shambles. There are alot of artists that are not coming totally from the heart. What would Pac say? Fuck that what do YOU say? Man the fuck up! It is 2009 we have a president that represents the people. The bar has been raised. My home girl KiKi Breeve Life was like "there ain't gon be no more hollaring at dudes and them dudes be like 'Im on the block ma' there will be no more of that shit " All the artists that are not true artist are going to have to find another way soon. Everyday the playing field is getting leveled. The dark ages are over. Yeah that shit was dope, yup...(keyword "was"). "Stop it if you think your gonna make a profit". Now as I write this, I think my mixtape is at the tail end of the dark ages. There are a few glimpses of what is to come. Now don't get it twisted, I wish to make a hansome living off of my art but my goal is to inspire the greatest good out of life.

I am working on some mind boggling shit where people are gonna be like "wtf? I love this!". I read an article from Ghostface (again) he said artists don't write from the heart anymore, arists write from the mind. I aspire to bring that beautiful union where heart and mind become one. Science and instinct act together. As far as style, Pac was heart with some mind. Biggie was mind with some heart. Toward the end of there physical lives, Pac's lyrics became more clever, Biggie's lyrics displayed more virtue.

(I maybe reaching for this one but) In a way Barack represents that balance. That brilliant heart, a poised fire, calm conviction. His thought is married to feeling. If there are people out there still living in doubt, develope yourselves. Through that developement dreams are made physical. Practice fuels faith, it is the alchemy by which visions come to life.

Impulses are like clay, when sculpted by the mind they are made into masterpieces. Johnny Voltik
Shit where was I?

Check me out live "Rock Star Arena" at the Bowery Poetry Club Feb 5th 2009 10pm, 5 beans to get in...
Grease
Friends...ones we can depennd on...Freinds!"

So this weekend my mans and dem came to Brooklyn from the Beantown. Yeah my mans Aeon Derek aka D- Erick and the lovely Elma the Prophet. Shit was dope on a rope. I had'nt seen these two mickey fickeys in a minute and to be honest I was getting bored of NY (crazy right!?) We got lit! We ended up partying 8pm til like 5am. Cot damn. We started off the night drinking 40's at my spot where I met these cool ass folk named Justine and Johann. They were D's and Elma's peoples. If yall readin this here, yall are the shit! D and E stankyou vury much, I miss yall!!!

We ended up going to Happy Endings in Manhattan after Burrito Bar where we drank a 64oz margarita. These mickey fickeys played all boyband music for llike an hour...entertaining. At Happy Endings shit was dope. The DJ did his damn dissle. So the place has these two sections that look like massage parlors, so you know where I was. A heh heh heh...In that lil parlor looking shit, D-Erick the wise made these two people kiss cause the was feeling eachother but was acting all shook. Yo, D-Erick is a persuasive mutha mang. But all he did was state the obvious "Kiss her, dont be a bitch". It was hillarious cause they was on some highschool shit all embarrased like. Meanwhile I was gettin chased by some biggin's (BBW). I love all the women of the world so a brothas biceps is sore right now. I got caught trying to check out some random girls ass by this other chick. Hey what can I say "Imma Main" -Bo Diddley - James Brown - Johnny Voltik. Then boom "Din DIn... Din Din Din... Din Din Tanto! Jump on it! Jump on it! Jump on it!" The whole club was doing the Fresh Prince Carlton joint. Nice...

The next morning me and the Beantown stompers went to get some brunch. I had me a bloodymary and a mimosa. We then went to watch the playoffs. Elma the prophet is the shit! She told me story of her family lineage that was crazy! Wow.. Imma ask her if I could tell it to yall online. It hit me to the point that I had to leave and go write music because it was so inspiring. It reminded me of my purpose. When I got up to leave I know she knew it cause of the look in her eyes. Stanks Elma even if you didn't know it. On my way home I got invited to an open mic at this place called "Stay" the name of the night is Temperment. I will be there this tuesday. I will have my mixtape on me too. So in the words of D-Erick "Don't be a bitch". So right now go to nimbit.com/johnnyvoltik and buy my shit. Imma say it...This shit is Dope!!! What!?!?!

This advertisment has nothing to do with the blog but if you want that real shit...go download it. Each song is less than a cheese burger on the dollar menu. Just stating the odvious like my man D-Erick

~J...Bitches!!!!

Imma go listen to "Deep Fried Frenz" by my man Doom...

YO!!
To my peple that made it out. This was probably one of the best shows I ever played. Special thanx to all who participated. Basically Jtronius and Alana J. set it off. They took us through a brief trip to the pyschadelic world of the cadillac peppermint paradise r&b nag champa heartache super love slave show. (thats the only way I can describe it) Eff'n dope!! Then my man T.rife R.eality blazed the eff out the crowd taking us through different eras of Hiphop music. Delivering rapid fire lyrics and awesome stage presence with partener in crime Preneur he capped his performance off with leaving the stage and coming back dressed up in an outfit reminscent of L.L. Cool J. ( no shirt on ladies) he performed a remake of "Hey Lover". Look out for this cat, T.R.!!!! Last and not least...DJ Juice E. killed it on the 1's and 2's. Blending timeless hit with hiphop remixes she educated, motivated and rocked the crowd. The definition of a DJ. All them on my myspace.

Last but not least, yours truly performed with my band the Blackbirds. The energy was freakin crazy. Thankyou sooo much to those of you that came out in semi-blizzard weather. Yo Public Assembly is the shhhh. This was one my most memorable performances yet. I had a dope time taking people through different chambers of my mind. I think I'm crazy sometimes...I am. I hope all could relate to my sanity of another world. My band...words cannot express my graditude. The combination of the Blackbirds, Tronius and T.R. brought me back to old times with new faces. I do wish my Isobel fam, Letia Lerok, The Dead Poetz and my mans Jr.Mega could have partied with me. Tonight was for yall!!!

Look folk...I can't say it enough...this is that shhh all yall been waiting for...like Raekwon said "cause I know I been waiting to hear it".
So yeah...
Envision this.. It is you vs. the self proclaimed master. The final show down to see who is. On one side is you, The Legendary yet humble Bruce Lee-roy. You struggle to your feet, body riddled with pain and fatigue. The salty mixture of sweat and blood lays across your palet from countless blows delivered by your adversary. As you stand there on one knee, The infamous Sho-Nuff the Shogun of Harlem grabs your by the scalp of your newly shaved shagg/mullet. His hands glow with the mencing red Aura known as the glow. Through years of practicing kung-fu He has harnessed a power so great that he is able to punch a mans head and pierce the skull without penetrating the skin. Blow after blow your body weakens.

After dragging you to a vat of rusty water he dunks your head in attempting to drown you. Splash, then whipping your head out he says "who is the Master?". Angered by no answer he dunks you a second time holding you under longer. Splash, whips you out again "I said who's the master!?!". No answer...what? Dunking you again, splooosh, and holding you 3x as long. Little does the Shogun know that you begin to come to. They say when faced with death, your instincts grab hold of you. Its either bow or stand, live or die. As you begin to relax your body in the water, you fall into the deepest meditation you have ever had. You begin to flash back to your master telling you that "there is one place you have not yet searched...then and only then will you become the master". All of a sudden Vanity comes to you in a vision and says, "you sure look like a master to me". Then it hits you....

Folk, Tonight I got pulled out of the water... If you want to see what happens after that, have your monkey ass at Solomon's Porch this Thursday.
So the time is here. The other night at precisely 6:23pm, on the Eve of Election Day, in the heart of Harlem New York, I Johnny Voltik got the Missile Factory Mixtape Vol. 2 duplicated. The Release date was Election Day, November 4th 2008. I was talking with my fellow execs at Isobel Music Society and they told me I was firing the first shot. Suddenly my mind went to "Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers". You know the part when the soldier fires the first arrow as Saron's army lines up to destroy Helms Deep. (if you don't know look it up). Thinking from my imaginative mind, I feel like we are the fellowship of the ring. Is Barack Aragorn? hmmmm..

BTW
I was on the train and they stopped and was like " Ladies and Gentlemen Im proud to announce the new president of the United States of America, Barack Obama!" Now is the time. This is evidence that we are in a new era. A renaissance period if you will...so

Vol. 2 is for sale Hoy! My very first solo relase. Chyeah!!!!! This is a mixtape/album. Every song is an original written and recorded by yours truely. There are some features on it from my old group Hoopla, Dr. Richie Kimble and T.rife R.eality. Everything else is produced, recorded, arranged and mixed by my higher-self at the Missile Factory Brooklyn. It is 16 tracks plus two bonus and an albumteaser if you get the first 500 edition. People, these shits are flying so hurry yo ass up if you need that new heat. One success leads to another... Barack and now this! People can expect something very different from the norm on this. The project is a collective of songs and freestyles ranging from "whip bangers" to "alternative rock" to "abstract hiphop".I would rather not say much more about it and let you decide.

I can tell you about Vol. 1 though!!!

It burned up in my old missile factory in Boston.
"What are your favorite Music quotes"

Its ya man Johnny Voltik aka Black Odessius,

Me and some of my comrades was sitting around talk about music (what else would we talk about right) and we was going through our favorite quotes. There was a whole lot of quotes actually. For me, a lot of WuTang shhh came to mine. As a matter of fact my man Ghostface is probably my favorite dude to quote (in hiphop at least) Those that know me know that I barely listen to hiphop(lately at least).
Yo Johnny Voltik here and Im tired as a muhhff. So Bloggidity Bloggatron Von bon booty gon. Okay Okay wake up Voltik. I purchased a diary last week and I been right'n my ass off. Wow who would have thought that the diary could be so effective. I mean you hear that kids should write in them. My man Jim Rohn said to buy a diary and right in it. I used to write songs in them now I write goals and friggin recaps and shhh.

See I started off as an Emcee. So I had the diary type of book. You know the joint that was black and white or red and white or any other color and white. I used to write in these mickey fickeys all day. Im talk'n BOOOOKks. I would even right in circles on the pages, up and down. from the back to the front. Then i even started writing in reverse to train my self as a rapper. I even wrote over my own rhymes and would often right without beats. I would ride the train and listen to songs with emcees on it and rap over them like they weren't there. I would focus on having my own style and would not be influenced by the lyrics on the song that I was writing over top of. Then I would freestyle all day. I would go up and down the alphabet forward and reverse. During the week I would rap at work (I got fired for drinkin wine on the job once, houlihans, haha) Then go to my second job as a bouncer and would freestyle. Then I would write on the train and then rehearse at home shhh I wrote. On the weekends it was rediculous. My roommates used to get annoyed. Then when I smoked herb I got really raw(All my emcees out there know what that about)

Now weed is the shhh and when I blazed I turned into off superman. But I wanted to be the illest so I stopped smoking because I wanted it to be pure. Then i finally reached the master level of being an emcee. The work ethic of John Coltrane brought me to the next level. I Stopped thinking and the words, thoughts feelings emotions, jokes and what have you just came. I reached the high that we seek when we smoke, drink, eat, and fuhh. I was able to shut down the conscious mind and let the subconscious mind express. The language was understood because the mind itself had been trained to the point that the commands for the words were automatic. As I write this I am beginning to realize that this is what Bruce Lee had accomplished and Ekhart Tolle speaks of. When you get i tha zone It is the shhh because confidence becomes your stride. You can hear this in artists like Lil Wayne, Jay -Z, Dre 3000 and Elzhi.

When I finally got serious about music I stopped rapping. I totally deconstructed my self mentally. I stepped back into hiphop as if I knew nothing. At the time a friend of mine named Amadeu got me into playing percussion. My other homies Jtronius and Jr.Mega got me into singing. Then my band mates completed my studies. So for like a year I stopped rhyming seriously ( I would just blah blah blahthen get on the drums and play till my hands would swell). Finally I started to ryhme again. This sort of transformed my whole style. I began rapping like an instrument. Now im not talking Nelly sing rap, (all due respect) but like a part of a trio or band. I was like water; I could crash and I could be still. I was shapeless except for that of which held me. This has been with me ever since. Finally I stopped writing. I haven't written a song in like a year ( well maybe like a verse or 3) Its funny because I dont rap as much as I used to. I wasn't very inspired( been singing alot). Since I have moved to Brooklyn ny though, Im back at it again. The change of scenery has sparked it up again. Plus to be here and to actually see and meet the guys I grew up listening to has changed my perspective. I feel like we are brothers rather then them being big time dudes I look up to. Im am on the same field of these cats. There is no doubt in my mind that I will shine because so much has shined on me. I just would like to share my consciousness the world. Im not talk'n bout incense and protests and head wraps and shhh... I would just like to experience life fully and give people something to experience.

Wow a Eff'n tangent huh? Holla back at the kid
