Magenta Bullets of Love
I suppose the first blog is the most difficult one to initiate, as this one is proving to be a pain in my arse. My feelings and thoughts aren't really anybody's business - I hate talking about myself and I'm rabid about my privacy. Who's going to read this? Who the hell cares about what I think? I know I don't care what you think - so what prompts me to do this blog?
I dunno....Isobel Music Society needs to be in the game. We need to participate. The US has elected a Black man as president - that means the world is officially changing. Josh, Renessa and I have sat up, yammering through the night about how the world needs a change, how we want to help be the change and how we were going to live wild pink angels - that is, intoxicated by love, art, work , community and innovation.
You can't do that half-assed - my dad once told me...aha! It doesn't matter whether or not you know what my dad once told me. I know what I must do. I know Renessa and Josh do too. So look to for us on the horizon; we are the voice crying out in the desert. Our work and art and community will speak louder than words and louder than bombs. Magenta bullets of love whizzing by your ears - Isobel Music Society & The Isobel Center For The Arts.
To hell with it:
Go listen to Rufus Wainwright's "April Fools". After that, listen to Bruch's Romance in F Major for Viola. I would follow that up with Jimi Hendrix's "Izabella."
....You will know what I mean by Wild Pink Angels.
G'nite,
~Chuck
